Striker Jamie Reid has been called back to the Northern Ireland squad for their upcoming Nations League matches against Belarus and Bulgaria.

Reid, who plays for Stevenage, missed last month's games—a 2-0 victory over Luxembourg and a 1-0 loss to Bulgaria—due to an undisclosed medical condition that sidelined him early in the season.

The 30-year-old forward had a prolific season last year, netting 22 goals in League One, and made his international debut in March, scoring in a 1-1 friendly draw against Romania. He has since earned four caps, with his latest coming in a 2-0 win over Andorra in June.

Manager Michael O'Neill will be without striker Shayne Lavery, who is recovering from a hamstring injury, and goalkeeper Conor Hazard due to injury. Sheffield Wednesday's Pierce Charles, yet to earn a senior cap, has been recalled as a goalkeeper.

Midfielder Jordan Thompson from Stoke City and Brodie Spencer from Huddersfield Town also return to the squad after missing September's matches due to injuries.

Northern Ireland will face Belarus in Hungary on October 12, followed by a home match against Bulgaria at Windsor Park in Belfast on October 15.
